Bass-baritone Niko Znahar lives in New York City, where he moved from Belarus in 2013. In 2014 he became a finalist of the international prestigious vocal and acting competition "Lotte Lenya" in New York. He is a graduate of the Belarusian State Academy of Music (opera/ vocal department). Niko is comfortable in many different performance styles, ranging from ballad songs to rock-opera. He has played in musicals and operas and performed hundreds of concerts in Europe and South Asia. Vocalist, songwriter, and producer of the band Prosspekt, Niko won the National Music Award as “Debut of the Year” in Belarus in late 2011.

“I started to explore classical music at the age of 16 inspired by Dmitry Hvorostovsky. During the years opera became deeply entrenched in my life, sometimes including writing my own songs, doing rock music, and electronics. All these things had given me an understanding of my unique way of performing classics - classical crossover. I want to make classical music more clear and fun to the people, more approachable to a wider audience. Therefore, such elements of the show as a charismatic artistic presentation, unique costumes, a bright repertoire and communication with the audience are important to me”, - says Niko Znahar.
